DevOps Engineer – Data Platform (Customer Experience)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Data Platform unit of Luminor. You will help design, build and operate reliable, scalable data platforms that power banking services across the Baltics. The role combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation and observability to deliver a modern, Kubernetes‑based ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation tools and software to improve operational efficiency and developer experience across DevOps, ITOps and engineering teams.
• Design, build and manage cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and GitOps pipelines (GitLab, Argo CD).
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and CloudWatch, creating dashboards and actionable metrics.
• Support incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑mortem reviews to continuously raise platform stability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise performance, scalability and reliability of data services such as Kafka, Flink, Spark and Iceberg.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE roles with a focus on cloud infrastructure reliability.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of AWS services and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Fluent English communication skills for pan‑Baltic collaboration.
