Data Center Site Lead – AI Infrastructure

About the role

We are working with a fast‑scaling AI infrastructure company building high‑density GPU data centers across Europe, the US and Asia. The company is hiring a Data Center Site Lead in Riga to own daily site operations, lead a shift‑based technician team, and support the growth of a new AI infrastructure site from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a shift‑based team of Data Center Technicians, planning daily work, shift cover, handovers, priorities and escalation paths.
• Own the full hardware lifecycle, including receiving, inventory, deployment, break/fix, RMA, relocation and decommissioning.
• Oversee rack‑and‑stack, component replacement, copper/fibre cabling and link‑level troubleshooting.
• Coordinate cluster deployments, site expansions, hardware refreshes and new infrastructure projects.
• Lead response to hardware, connectivity and operational incidents and maintain accurate documentation, asset records and incident notes.
• Develop and improve SOPs, runbooks, safety processes and operational standards, and work closely with facility and colocation partners on power, cooling, access and security.

Required profile

• Strong people‑management skills, including coaching, onboarding, performance management and team development.
• Ability to bring structure into a fast‑moving environment and manage shift‑based operations.
• Professional English communication for internal collaboration with international teams.

Required skills

• Experience with high‑density GPU infrastructure and NVIDIA Ampere, Hopper or Blackwell platforms.
• Knowledge of direct liquid cooling or direct‑to‑chip cooling technologies.
• Proficiency in rack‑and‑stack, component replacement, copper/fibre cabling and link‑level troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience managing the full hardware lifecycle (receiving, inventory, deployment, break/fix, RMA, relocation, decommissioning).
