About the role

The company is looking for an Occupational Safety Specialist to oversee and develop occupational safety and fire‑protection processes, ensuring a safe and orderly work environment in a high‑technology glass production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Latvian occupational safety regulations.
• Supervise and develop the safety management system in line with ISO 45001.
• Plan, monitor and verify implementation of safety measures.
• Conduct internal workplace inspections, identify risks and propose improvements.
• Deliver fire‑safety training and maintain related documentation.
• Prepare and update safety and fire‑protection records.
• Organise mandatory health‑examination documentation and control deadlines.
• Coordinate procurement and usage of personal protective equipment.
• Represent the company before state labor and fire‑safety authorities.

Required profile

• Higher education in occupational safety.
• Certificate from a 160‑hour “Fire Safety and Protection” professional development program.
• At least 2 years of experience as a safety specialist; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Latvian safety and fire‑protection legislation.
• Proactive, independent and results‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to identify problems and devise practical solutions.
• Good command of Latvian and functional Russian for training foreign staff.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 standards
