Communications Advisor for Multinational Division North in Latvia

About the role

The position is a fixed‑term assignment supporting the head of Multinational Division North (MND‑N) in Latvia. You will work in a multinational NATO environment, helping to communicate Denmark’s contributions and NATO’s mission on the eastern flank.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to media inquiries from Danish and international outlets.
• Develop internal and external communication initiatives aligned with the division commander’s objectives.
• Prepare communication material on Denmark’s leadership of MND‑N, troop contributions, and strategic planning.
• Assist with press visits at headquarters and subordinate units.
• Support ongoing strategic communication (STRATCOM) activities.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background (e.g., cand.comm., journalism or similar).
• Analytical mindset with experience in team collaboration and cross‑functional coordination.
• Outgoing, proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of the Danish defence sector, preferably experience with the Ministry of Defence or Defence Command.
• Fluent oral and written English at a high level.
