Category Buyer – Evening Shift

About the role

As a Category Buyer you will support the development and execution of procurement strategies for assigned categories, ensuring the availability of goods and services while delivering value to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies.
• Analyze spend, demand, pricing and market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFIs, RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation and negotiations.
• Identify, qualify and onboard suppliers and support contract implementation.
• Monitor supplier performance and work with stakeholders to drive improvements.
• Track savings and support sustainability, innovation and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports and collaborate with business partners to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Work closely with Procurement Operations to support purchase‑order execution and supplier follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or Purchasing.
• Experience with sourcing activities, supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend, supplier and market data.
• Good negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
• Understanding of procurement processes, RFx activities and supplier risk management.
• Well‑organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
