Caseworker – Refugee Integration Support

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a dedicated Caseworker to provide trauma‑informed services to refugees and other ORR‑qualified immigrants. You will help clients achieve self‑sufficiency by developing personalized integration plans and connecting them with a wide range of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and create Family Self‑Sufficiency Plans (FSSPs) and Individual Employability Plans (IEPs).
• Provide comprehensive case management, direct services, referrals, and advocacy.
• Monitor client progress, address barriers, and ensure appropriate use of available resources.
• Document all client interactions in required databases and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams, partner organizations, and community service providers.
• Travel within the service area using a personal vehicle or public transport to meet clients.
• Train and supervise volunteers or interns as needed.
• Conduct outreach to refugee‑serving agencies and community groups.

Required profile

• Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or vulnerable populations.
• Strong understanding of trauma‑informed care and self‑sufficiency planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
