Accounts Payables Accountant

About the role

Accounts Payables Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and vendor account reconciliations. The role ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process and validate supplier invoices in line with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and manage invoice and payment‑related queries.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, credit notes, and payment issues to ensure accurate accounts payable balances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives while collaborating with Procurement, Treasury, Finance and other stakeholders to optimise the invoice‑to‑pay process.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
• Understanding of accounting principles, VAT and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work accurately under deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
