Senior Consultant in Financial Services Risk Management Team

About the role

Join EY's rapidly growing Financial Services Risk Management team as a Senior Consultant. You will work on projects for leading banks across the Baltics, Nordics, Central Europe and Central Asia, collaborating directly with top bank management and applying strong data and technical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist banks and financial institutions in analysing and managing financial risks such as credit risk and capital adequacy.
• Develop, document, implement and validate analytical tools and models for risk‑based decision making and regulatory reporting.
• Apply statistical, economic, financial and mathematical techniques to solve business and risk management problems.
• Perform reactive and proactive data analysis on large datasets using SQL, R or Python.
• Manage one or more projects, ensuring high quality and effective time management.
• Present results to internal and external stakeholders with clear communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in banking, specifically in financial risk management (credit risk or capital adequacy).
• Hands‑on experience with any of the following: Credit Risk, CRR3, RWA, IFSR9, Model Risk Management, Quantitative Financial Modelling, ICAAP, ILAAP, Stress Testing, IRRBB, CSRBB.
• Educational background in Finance, Business, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or IT.
• Excellent English; German or Russian is a plus.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 firm is advantageous.
