Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join the Operations Department to oversee project economics, contract compliance, revenue alignment, reporting, and support the SAP S/4HANA implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor end‑to‑end project economics, including direct costs, reported time, sales and cost rates, revenue, gross profit and margin.
• Control allocations against reported time (CATS) and invoiced hours, investigate gaps and prevent revenue leakage.
• Validate project setup in SAP (roles, periods, team composition, extensions).
• Maintain and develop the sales‑rate/cost‑rate model used for gross‑profit calculations.
• Ensure every project is backed by a valid contract (MSA/SOW, PO) and that revenue matches accounting entries.
• Review commercial terms per project and manually control terms not covered by SAP fields.
• Track cases where delivery starts before agreements are signed and follow up with PMs and Sales.
• Reconcile project revenue with accounting during month‑end close.
• Produce monthly profitability reports for projects, people chargeability, and overall finance results.
• Automate recurring reports and build Power BI models using SAP OData, dataflows and transformations.
• Investigate data discrepancies across SAP, CATS, BambooHR and Accounting, drive corrections and document processes.
• Support Controlling and Order‑to‑Cash aspects of the SAP S/4HANA implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting or economics.
• 3‑5+ years in financial control, FP&A or project controlling, preferably in IT services or consulting.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Controlling/Project System/CATS or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of the order‑to‑cash cycle and commercial terms in service contracts.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency with Power BI, including Power Query and DAX.
• Ability to trace numbers back to source across multiple systems and explain variances.
• Experience writing process documentation for non‑finance users.
• English level B2 or higher.
