Content Director – Remote, $46/hr (9‑week contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Content Director to lead high‑difficulty content and SEO initiatives on a short‑term, 9‑week contract. This remote position offers flexible hours with a minimum four‑hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and evaluate complex content and SEO tasks, delivering expert‑level solutions.
• Develop scenarios covering content strategy, keyword research, search intent, on‑page optimization, technical SEO, and organic growth.
• Review AI‑generated outputs for SEO accuracy, relevance, and practical usefulness.
• Analyze rankings, traffic, conversions, content performance, and competitive search trends.
• Assess technical SEO factors such as crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
• Conduct comprehensive SEO audits, identify opportunities, and prioritize improvements to drive organic growth.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in content strategy, SEO, organic growth, or digital marketing.
• Proven track record developing editorial strategies aligned with audience needs, search intent, brand positioning, and business goals.
• Strong analytical, written communication, research, and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Ahrefs.
• Advanced proficiency with Semrush.
• Advanced proficiency with Screaming Frog.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Search Console.
• Deep expertise in technical SEO, including crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
