AI & Process Digitalisation Specialist

About the role

As an AI & Process Digitalisation Specialist at Kronospan, you will lead the design and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that streamline our production and distribution processes in Riga. You will work closely with operational teams to turn data insights into tangible efficiency gains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and optimise AI/ML models for core business processes.
• Analyse large datasets to uncover optimisation opportunities.
• Integrate AI solutions into existing IT infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate and select appropriate AI tools, frameworks and libraries.
• Collaborate with operational departments to build data‑driven solutions.
• Monitor, maintain and continuously improve deployed AI models.
• Support automation of business processes through AI technologies.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with an independent problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Latvian is required.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with MLOps and AI model deployment practices.
