Network Administrator – Secure High‑Performance Infrastructure

About the role

Redwire Corporation, a global Space and Defense technology company, is looking for a Network Engineer to join its IT team. The role focuses on ensuring reliable, secure and high‑performance network infrastructure across all company environments, supporting business continuity and ongoing IT development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and administer the company’s network infrastructure.
• Manage routing, switching and firewall environments.
• Monitor network performance and guarantee high availability.
• Perform Layer 3 troubleshooting and diagnose network issues.
• Maintain cloud and hybrid network connectivity.
• Ensure network security, access control and compliance.
• Organise and maintain network documentation, standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments on projects such as radio links, GCS systems, Starlink deployments and custom network builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on networking/infrastructure experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for diagnosing network issues.
• Understanding of network security principles, segmentation and basic threat mitigation.
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, diagrams and procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• TCP/IP and OSI model knowledge.
• Routing & switching expertise (VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
• Cloud networking experience with Azure.
• Familiarity with Zero‑Trust Network (ZTN) architecture (advantage).
• Experience with SD‑WAN (advantage).
• Networking certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ (advantage).
