Head of Finance – Payments & FinTech

About the role

We are a fast‑growing FinTech company expanding its portfolio of payment projects. As Head of Finance you will own financial control, reconciliation, reporting and treasury across multiple projects and entities, ensuring accurate payment flows and robust financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end reconciliation of transactions, settlements, fees, rolling reserves, refunds and chargebacks across merchants, acquirers, PSPs and alternative payment providers.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure payment data is correctly reflected in internal systems and external statements.
• Own P&L for the project portfolio, prepare management reports, forecasts, cash‑flow statements and variance analyses.
• Build and maintain financial models, unit economics and liquidity plans for multi‑currency accounts.
• Improve and automate reconciliation, reporting and internal control processes, and evaluate BI or ERP systems to reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with banks, acquirers and payment partners on settlement terms, fees and reconciliation issues.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a payments‑focused FinTech, PSP, acquirer or similar environment.
• Hands‑on expertise in payment reconciliation, settlement cycles, processing fees, rolling reserves, refunds and chargebacks.
• Proven P&L ownership, financial analysis, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Fluency in Russian and English.
• Ability to work with large volumes of transaction data across multiple entities and currencies.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP or financial accounting systems.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
