Purchasing & Project Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Purchasing & Project Coordinator to support our procurement operations and assist the General Manager with development projects across the company. This junior‑to‑mid‑level position offers real growth potential within a multicultural wood‑processing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day purchasing of equipment, materials, spare parts and services for production and facility needs.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, prepare clear comparisons and place orders while monitoring delivery timelines.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier information and contracts, and track cost differences or savings.
• Assist timber procurement colleagues with documentation, supplier contracts, certificates and FSC or other relevant paperwork.
• Coordinate external maintenance and repair services, obtain quotations, arrange service visits and track repair costs.
• Support the General Manager on factory development projects, including infrastructure improvements, permit processes and environmental certification.
• Prepare project documentation, maintain trackers, organise meetings and follow up on outstanding actions.

Required profile

• Fluent in Latvian and good working English.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply‑chain or project coordination.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with good communication skills for suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets and standard office tools.
