Network Monitoring System Administrator

About the role

Webbing is seeking a Network Monitoring System Administrator to own, manage and enhance its monitoring solutions. You will ensure the reliability of the monitoring infrastructure and drive the implementation of a centralized alerting system.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, maintain and continuously improve the existing monitoring infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Research, evaluate and recommend new monitoring tools and technologies.
• Lead the implementation and development of a centralized monitoring and alerting system.
• Administer, configure and support monitoring servers and related systems.
• Integrate new network elements into the monitoring environment and ensure proper visibility.
• Define, configure and optimise alarms and KPIs aligned with business requirements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation and contribute to monitoring best‑practice procedures.

Required profile

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong self‑motivation with a proactive learning attitude.
• High accuracy, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and work outside regular hours.

Required skills

• Linux system administration.
• Bash and Python scripting.
• SQL query execution for data extraction and troubleshooting.
• System and service monitoring.
• Network management protocols and IP/cellular network protocols.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as IBM SANO/SevOne, Polystar Kalix, Grafana, Prometheus and Loki.
• Containerisation technologies (Docker, Podman).
