Lead Developer – Risk Control Systems

About the role

As a Lead Developer in the Quant Development team, you will own the stability and continuous improvement of SEB's market and counterparty risk control systems. You will work closely with experienced quant analysts and developers, providing technical guidance and shaping optimal development approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the bank's risk control platforms to ensure reliable operation.
• Implement improvements and new features based on business and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with broader business and IT units to align technical solutions with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; work may involve foreign‑country interactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of commercial‑grade development on complex applications.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL database querying.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) in development workflows.
• Version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration pipelines.
• Containers and container‑orchestration systems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Google Cloud platform usage.
• RESTful API design.
