Data Analyst

About the role

DiscoverCars.com is looking for a Data Analyst who enjoys turning data into actionable insights and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. In this position you will handle reporting, data analysis, transformation and quality while supporting data‑related projects company‑wide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze incoming requests from other departments regarding reporting and data analytics needs.
• Propose new datasets, improvements in data quality and other data‑related enhancements.
• Retrieve data from the data warehouse and other databases using SQL.
• Develop data transformation scripts with SQL and dbt, collaborating with Data Engineers when needed.
• Create reports and perform ad‑hoc analysis based on priorities set with the manager.
• Coordinate Data department projects, gathering business requirements, defining integration needs, testing, verifying data quality and documenting outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on SQL experience with complex queries and large datasets.
• Experience with BI and reporting solutions, building dashboards or reports.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into practical business insights.
• Good knowledge of Latvian and English.
